OVERVIEW
Cross Island Advisors is a Registered Investment Advisor established in 2018 by Amit Chokshi as a spin-off of Doshi Capital Partners, the family office of Drs. Nitin & Leena Doshi, founders of Doshi Diagnostic Imaging. Amit has managed investments under Cross Island’s strategy since 2006 while Cross Island’s Chairman – Dr Nitin Doshi – has seeded several successful alternative asset management firms across real estate, private equity, and hedge funds.
Cross Island utilizes a bottoms-up, fundamental, and qualitative research process to construct a concentrated portfolio of approximately 15 companies experiencing transformations associated with dramatic capital structures improvements, rapid cash flow growth, and expanding network effects that are undervalued by market participants with the expectation that they will achieve exceptional rates of return over a 3-5 year time period.
Cross Island’s approach is unconstrained by market capitalization or geography, limits asset inflows to optimize investor returns, and offers its strategy exclusively in Separately Managed Accounts (“SMAs”) to provide investors with greater transparency.

Amit has executed Cross Island’s strategy for over ten years across multiple firms including Doshi Capital Partners, the family office of Drs. Nitin and Leena Doshi, founders of Doshi Diagnostic Imaging, and Kinnaras Capital Management, a hedge fund Amit founded and managed for over six years. Amit began his career as an Analyst at Morgan Stanley and joined the Leveraged Finance group of the Royal Bank of Scotland following business school. He is a CFA Charterholder and served on the Board of the Stamford CFA Society from 2006 – 2014. Amit earned a B.S. in Finance from Bryant University and MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
